An extensive overhaul of the app has been completed, improving an already highly rated 4.5/5 star application. The recent update introduces numerous new features and a revamped interface that now supports both portrait and landscape orientations.

iTouchStats Basketball empowers users to customize their data tracking preferences. A popular method involves monitoring individual player statistics for one team alongside the opponent's team stats, as depicted in the first screenshot. Alternatively, users can opt to track individual player stats for both teams, as illustrated in the second screenshot. The choice of which stats to track for each team is entirely customizable. Optional features like game clock usage and shot location tracking further enhance the flexibility of the app.

A standout feature of iTouchStats Basketball is the introduction of quick stat icons displayed next to a player's photo or jersey. These icons correspond with the color theme of each statistical category, offering users a convenient way to view a player's key stats without leaving the main scoring screen. Key stats such as Points (Green), Fouls (Red), Turnovers (Orange), Assists (Yellow), Steals (Gray), and Blocks (Brown) are quickly accessible via these icons. By double-tapping on a player, users can access additional stat details including shot charts and shooting percentages.

NEW - The latest version 4.0 introduces a team bench feature at the bottom of the scoring screen, significantly improving player substitutions and providing easy access to view the stats of benched players. Users can even assign a stat to a benched player if a missed substitution needs correction.

The new user-definable rating system allows individual values to be assigned to each stat, simplifying performance assessment based on these customized criteria. Additionally, users can now define stat buttons and enable or disable them in game reports.

Enhancements to the app include displaying team quick stats on the scoreboard, enabling iCloud data backups, incorporating halftime timeouts as an option, and introducing running clock as a rules setting. Improvements have been made to game and season PDF reports, offering enhanced customization options for displayed statistics. Stat viewing now allows for analysis by periods for teams or players, facilitating detailed comparisons between different game segments or across multiple matches.

Season, team, and player management functionalities have been refined to streamline data organization, particularly for users managing multiple seasons. Only data relevant to the selected "Default" season is displayed, with effortless switching between seasons now possible.
